Label heads, Research & Development, made their first big statement with "I Love My Country", a soulful acid jazz track with a tongue in cheek jab at baby boomer entitlement in a politicized world. R&D received glowing support from Toronto's Walmer Convenience for "Immorality & Immortality", a sprawling spacey jungle joint in 5/4 with soaring vocals and an arpeggiated guitar lead. Tom & Josh get darker on "Etched In Stone", using piano chords and scrapes to punctuate this steppy grime beat. Finally, their "Buugeng Suite in Bb Minor" is a lengthy downtempo groove, commissioned for a circus buugeng performance in Philadelphia. This EP marks Research & Development's declaration of intent.
